HELLO,
I began teaching in southern Virginia in 2001. Over my 19 years in the educational field, I have had many experiences that I will take with me throughout my lifetime. My career began as an Alternative Education teacher in my hometown (Dinwiddie County, Virginia), which is a small, rural school district. I have also had the opportuntity to be an Elementary Physical Education teacher. I have been our district's lead Physical Education teacher and Curriculum Supervisor and coached baseball for our Middle School and High School teams. I was the first Physical Education teacher named to our school district's "20 To Watch" list, which is one of the highest honors given to a teacher in our county. From an educational perspective, I have completed a Master of Education from Mississippi State University with an emphasis in Physical Education. Most recently, I have completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Kansas. I am currently a licensed administrator in the state of Virginia for grades Pre-K through 12th grades. I am committed to the promotion of the highest standards of educational excellence by fostering collaboration, innovation, respect, and trust.
